Can of the month
January, 2004. Maybe I should rename this section into 'Can of the year' since I don't manage to update this page every month. Even worse, in the past 6 month I didn't make any picture of the newly arrived cans. Therefore this time one of the older cans; Louis Martin. I bought this can in 1990 in France. It still has the original price label of 2.70 FF (=0.41 Euro). Appearently the manufacturer considered this to be a really high-class product and gave it the fancy indication 'Coulis de tomate' instead of the more ordinary 'purée de tomates' like the others. Only difference seems to be that the tomatoes for this product came from the Provence region. It doesn't really matter. The can itself is very nice and that's what counts. |
